What are the responsibilities and job description for the IP Docket Specialist position at TAD PGS, Inc.?
We have an outstanding career opportunity for an IP Docket Specialist to join a leading Company located in the San Francisco, CA. This is a hybrid opportunity with 3 days on-site.
Responsibilities:
- Manage all docketing activities related to Intellectual Property matters, including patents, trademarks, and copyrights.
- Use IP-specific software (such as CPi) to accurately calendar and track deadlines for domestic and international IP filings.
- Generate customized docket reports for attorneys, paralegals, and legal staff as requested.
- Follow up with legal teams on upcoming docket deadlines and ensure timely clearance of completed items.
- Oversee and execute projects related to docketing improvements or updates.
- Ensure strict adherence to internal policies and procedures regarding docketing practices.
Basic Hiring Criteria:
- Associate's degree or higher preferred; equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.
- Minimum 3–5 years of IP docketing experience in a law firm or corporate setting preferred.
- Deep knowledge of U.S. and international patent and trademark procedures.
- Experience with online IP databases and systems (PAIR, ePCT, TSDR, etc.)
- Strong analytical & organizational skills; ability to manage multiple priorities, meet tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills and a proactive, team-oriented mindset.
- Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with CPi docketing software strongly preferred.
