Job Overview – Outpatient Mental Health Therapist (MSW)
Compensation: $27/hour
Location: Philadelphia, PA
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM
TAG MedStaffing is hiring an Outpatient Mental Health Therapist (MSW) in Philadelphia, PA for our client, supporting outpatient therapy services within a structured clinical setting. This role delivers individual, group, and family therapy using evidence-based approaches, including CBT, while maintaining compliant clinical documentation. You will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and support adults and or adolescents in achieving meaningful therapeutic outcomes within an outpatient mental health program.
Responsibilities as the Outpatient Mental Health Therapist (MSW):
- Therapeutic Services: Provide individual, group, and family outpatient therapy using evidence-based practices.
- Clinical Documentation & Compliance: Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with licensing and insurance requirements.
- Treatment Planning: Develop and update individualized treatment plans in collaboration with clients.
- Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Coordinate care with clinical teams, providers, and support services to ensure continuity of care.
- Client Advocacy & Engagement: Support client engagement and advocate for participation in the treatment and recovery process.
Qualifications for the Outpatient Mental Health Therapist (MSW):
- Education: Master of Social Work (MSW) from an accredited program required.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of mental health therapy experience required, with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) experience preferred.
- Clinical Setting Exposure: Prior experience in an outpatient mental health setting strongly preferred.
- Industry Knowledge: Working knowledge of mental health systems, community-based supports, and treatment planning frameworks.
- Skills & Attributes: Strong clinical documentation and communication skills, the ability to work independently and collaboratively, and a client-centered, organized approach to care delivery.
