Job Description The Payroll Specialist is responsible for processing payroll and providing payroll support on a day-to-day basis to all Tricon employees. Enter payroll changes and first step processing of semi-monthly payroll. Create payroll reports and audit time- cards for accuracy before payroll transactions. Assist or perform all off-cycle new hire salary proration and retroactive pay. Customer service and a sense of urgency toward employee needs. Ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks with little supervision. Reconcile and fund the HSA account. Assist or prepare payroll related reports for management. Process employee garnishments. Assist or prepare off-cycle and termination manual checks. Process terminations in ADP in a timely manner Qualifications: Knowledge of ADP Workforce Now. Knowledge of multi-state regulatory standards and compliance requirements. General ledger coding knowledge. 401K compliance expertise. Knowledge of Workers Compensation premium tracking within ADP. Ability to research, evaluate and analyze inquires relating to payroll issues and take appropriate action to resolve. Able to exercise effective judgment, sensitivity, creativity to changing needs and situations. Able to establish and maintain healthy working relationships with people in course of work. Ability to work well using mobile office electronic tools Basic accounting and math skills, excellent written and verbal communication abilities. Relevant computer software and hardware applications knowledge. Dependable, great attitude, highly motivated, team player, and strong work ethic. Strong written and verbal communications skills required. Must be a self-starter who is self-motivated and self-directed in resolving potential issues. Exercises considerable judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action. Minimum Requirements: Associate degree or higher in related field from an accredited college or university required, Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Human Resources or related field preferred. 5 years of processing payroll in a large multi-state environment. Multiple pay cycle experience (weekly, bi-weekly, and bi-monthly) Intermediate Excel experience (including pivot tables, v-lookups, sumif, index match, etc.) Excellent attention to detail Excellent communication skills both written and verbal At Tricon Residential, we know that the best ideas happen when people bring their uniqueness to work with them.
