Light Industrial - Industrial Maintenance Technician (Mid Level)
Location : Deland FL 32724
Duration: 6 months with opportunity for extension or conversion
Shift: 2, Hours: 3:15pm to 11:15pm, Monday-Friday
Description:Industrial Maintenance Technician,
The industrial maintenance technician is responsible for safely supporting Deland's maintenance, troubleshooting, and diagnosis of all machinery and equipment within the plant. Our Maintenance Technicians work with minimal supervision while providing manufacturing technical support to department engineers and designers. Key responsibilities/essential functions include performing electrical repairs and installations, interfacing with production operators to ensure equipment readiness and performance and performing preventative and predictive maintenance.
Required Qualifications: High School Diploma/GED or equivalent. Knowledge of preventative and predictive maintenance concepts. Minimum of five (5) years of related work experience at journeyman level and in like work centers. Knowledge of three (3) phase in dustrial electricity and power distribution. Ability to lift a maximum of 50 lbs., stand, sit, stoop, bend, walk, reach, squat, kneel, push, and pull for long periods. Must be able to read and write simple statements. Ability to make decisions and have sound judgment. Experience working with steel microfibers, maintaining CNC and PLC machines, and working with low voltage controls in a heavy manufacturing environment is desired.
Dress Code: This is a manufacturing facility and safety is our #1 priority. OSHA approved steel toe or composite toe shoes and long pants that cover ankles and legs are required. Safety glasses must be always worn on the production floor. Long pants include jeans, slacks, uniform pants, etc. Sweatpants, shorts, yoga pants, capris, etc., are not permitted. Shirt sleeves must cover the shoulders and may not have offensive wording or images. All clothing must be free from tears, including those designed with such. Shorts, miniskirts, dresses, cropped tops, halter tops, spaghetti straps and open-toed shoes are not permitted.
