What are the responsibilities and job description for the Activities Director position at Tamarisk Senior Living?
Tamarisk Senior Living, located in Warwick, RI, is seeking a creative, vibrant, warm and caring full-time Activities Director to join our Memory Support Team. We have an amazing 24 suite neighborhood with plenty of community space to lead groups, host entertainment, work in small groups or one on one with our residents.
Our goal is to provide an active and diverse program that enhances the emotional, social, spiritual and physical lives of our seniors. We are looking for someone with experience providing seniors who have mild to moderate dementia with life enriching activities that are interesting and fun and that can adapt to different interests and levels of ability, while maintaining the residents highest level of functioning. The residents and families appreciate their life at Tamarisk and love to feel really engaged in living their lives.
Experience as an Activities Director is a plus however, we are flexible and will consider other relevant experience or background, e.g. recreational therapy, occupational therapy, art or music therapy, etc.
