What are the responsibilities and job description for the CATIA Programmer/Developer position at Tata Technologies?
Responsibilities:
- Creating parametric models to automate making high volumes of similar parts
- Develop new automation/tool development for internal customers (R&D engineering)
- Help expansion of tool database in other segments of Toyota
- Existing tool maintenance and troubleshooting
- Working in a team of 3-4 and sharing thoughts & ideas collaboratively
- End user support (working with internal customers to troubleshoot and improve tools)
- Tool documentation (help docs, demo videos, etc.)
- Promoting awareness for new applications (training, new tool advertising, etc.)
- Website maintenance
- Support implementation of data analytics (tracking usage, time savings and flagging underutilized tools and areas for improvement)
- Weekly status reporting
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of experience using Visual basic and/or C
- Minimum 3 years of CATIA V5 experience
- CATIA V5 experience in the following workbenches: Part Design, Generative Shape Design, Assembly Design, Drafting, Knowledge Advisor, Knowledge Expert, DMU Space Analysis, and DMU Navigator
- Must have experience with Power copies, UDF’s and templates
- Experience with CAA Rade, html, css, php, python preferred
- 3 years of programming in CATIA V5 preferred
- Ability to troubleshoot and improve parametric models in CATIA V5
- BS in software or computer science related field preferred
- Experience with CAE analysis preferred
- Understanding of AI or machine learning concepts a plus
- Experience with CATIA V6 and/or 3D experience a plus
- Must be able to communicate effectively in English
- Innovative mindset and experience problem solving
- Effective written communication using MS office tools a must
