What are the responsibilities and job description for the Vehicle Evaluation Engineer position at Tata Technologies?
Description:
Vehicle Evaluation Engineer will support the team’s testing and data analysis needs for Fuel Economy and Driveability development. Test Planning: Understand evaluation purpose from lead engineer; Reserve equipment and resources (vehicle, dyno, test track); interact with technicians to ensure correct vehicle instrumentation; Arrange vehicle transportation.
Test Execution: Attend testing on-site or at test location (FTTA, TAPG, others) to ensure correct data is collected according to standard procedures.
Data analysis & reporting: Calculate key parameters from data; understand vehicle behavior; make charts to display results; summarize findings and report.
Requirements:
- Experience driving test vehicles and collecting data from vehicle CAN and/or analog instrumentation (accelerometer, strain gauge, thermocouple, …)
- Experience analyzing vehicle data (Excel, Matlab, Python, …)
- Experience summarizing results in technical report to share with other engineers and management.
- Good communication skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
Salary : $40 - $44
