Job Details

Condominium complex set on 36 acres in Springfield, NJ. The complex consists of 342-units ranging in size from 1 to 4 bedroom and townhouses. The complex sits on 36-acres of park like setting with a pool for resident use. Springfield is a geographically small, suburban town with easy access via light rail & bus to New York City.

Schedule

Full Time, 40 hours per week.

Daytime, and emergent night/weekend hours required.

Monday to Friday – 8 AM-4:00 PM

Essential Functions

Under direction of the Community Manager, the candidate will perform varied simple and moderately

physically strenuous tasks involved in cleaning and maintaining the Association buildings and

grounds. The candidate will also run, maintain, and turn off the boiler system.

The candidate will assist in making general repairs and maintenance to buildings and/or equipment and other related duties as required.

The examples of duties and responsibilities below are intended to describe the general nature

and level of work to be performed by individuals in this position, rather than an extensive list.

·        Perform varied simple and moderately physically strenuous tasks involved in cleaning

·        and maintaining offices, bathrooms, buildings, and grounds.

·        Light plumbing and electrical work (such as bleeding radiators, changing smoke detectors, changing light fixtures)

·        Run the boiler system during required month of operation.

·        Assist in making repairs to buildings or equipment.

·        When necessary, carry & set up ladders, work from ladders, or work on the roof.

·        When assigned, move objects weighing about 50 pounds.

·        When assigned, move heavy supplies, and equipment.

·        Dispose of trash, recycling, and other materials to keep space safe.

·        Distribute supplies to Pool during months of operation.

·        Perform additional salting of walkways to supplement vendor.

·        Other duties, as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

·        Knowledge about boiler systems and their fueling, firing, maintenance, & repairs.

·        Knowledge about fire & building maintenance and repairs.

·        Ability to work harmoniously with co-workers and a diverse & varied resident base.

·        Ability to undertake repairs and maintain equipment.

Black Seal Boiler Operator License.

Minimum of two years experience in Facilities Maintenance

Valid NJ Driver's License
