What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Tech position at TCA Health Inc.?
We are looking for a reliable Maintenance Tech. to undertake upkeep and repair task at the interior or exterior of company premises. We’ll rely on you to keep our facilities in perfect condition by doing various odd jobs.
Deft hands and technical knowledge are important parts of a handyman’s arsenal. You must be well organized with strong general repair skills. A keen eye detail physical stamina is valued greatly in this job.
Responsibilities
- Perform basic maintenance and light repairs.
- Perform routine landscaping on the grounds as needed.
- Paint and fill gaps or crevices (on walls, sidewalks, etc.)
- Advanced understanding of general maintenance procedures and techniques.
- Repair equipment or appliances.
- Assist with electrical, plumbing, or HVAC repairs.
- Undertake duties as assigned or emergency task (e.g., shoveling snow, spills)
- Identify and report the needs for major repairs.
- Complete work orders as assigned in a safe and efficient manner.
- Identify and report any issues or safety concerns.
- Assist with lifting, moving, loading, and unloading.
- Perform routine landscaping on the grounds for each facility. (Moved this from the skills section)
- Performs utility and structural repairs as needed, alone or in collaboration with internal/external tradespersons/vendors.
- Documents and maintains records of work performed.
- Maintenance work may be assigned across multiple TCA locations.
- Assist the Facilities & Maintenance Supervisor with work assignments as requested.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements and Skills
- 3-5 years of relevant experience.
- Experience with hardware tools and electrical equipment.
- General understanding of electrical, plumbing or HVAC systems.
- Experience cleaning facilities by sweeping, dusting, mopping, etc.
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Basic math, reading and computer skills.
- Good communication skills
- Well-organized with great attention to detail
- Flexible scheduling option.
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience operating a variety of equipment including snow blowers and power tools.
- Ability to complete multiple projects in a timely manner.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Valid driver’s license (and insurance?)
- Regular and reliable attendance.
