What are the responsibilities and job description for the Psychiatrist position at Team Georgia Careers?
Provides direct diagnostic and treatment services for adults/children and adolescents
1. Performs psychiatric evaluations, assessing mental disorders and recommendation for treatment
2. Prescribe and deliver psychiatric treatment including therapy and medication.
3. Provides consultative services to clinical staff, including review and evaluating treatment plans, provides medical information relevant to the development of the treatment plan
4. Complete all required paperwork for internal and external regulatory authorities.
Assists program administration
- Reviews and approves ISP’s and other treatment plans.
- Attends and participates in medical service meetings as scheduled.
- Participates on assigned agency committees.
Provides psychiatric and medical consultation to other clinical staff
- Consults with case manager about change in diagnosis or treatment modalities.
- Attends individual client staffing as requested by program.
3. May act as delegated physician of record for specific clinical nurse specialist(s).

Billable Hour Standard
Will achieve assigned billable hour standard.
