We're looking for a highly experienced and technically profound Lead Data Center & Virtualization Engineer with CISA or CISSP. This 100% onsite role demands an expert in virtualization, enterprise storage, and infrastructure architecture, someone who understands how compute, storage, network, security, and cloud platforms integrate within a modern IT environment. You'll be a critical advisor, shaping our core infrastructure for mission-critical systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect & Optimize: Design, implement, and optimize complex virtualization (VMware vSphere, Hyper-V) and enterprise SAN/NAS solutions (NetApp, Dell EMC, Pure Storage). Lead migrations to virtual or hyperconverged platforms.
• System Integration: Integrate infrastructure across data center compute, network, storage, and cloud environments. Design High Availability/Disaster Recovery strategies and support hybrid architectures.
• Operational Excellence: Provide Tier 3 support, automate provisioning with tools like PowerCLI or Ansible, monitor system performance, and ensure compliance with DISA STIGs and CIS Benchmarks.
• Strategic Guidance: Advise on data center modernization, virtualization roadmaps, and emerging technologies. Collaborate with cybersecurity, DevOps, and application teams for seamless alignment.

Required Qualifications

• Clearance: TS/SCI clearance.
• Certifications (IAT Level III):

  One of the following
  
  CISA

  GSE

  SCNCA

  CISSP (or Associate)

  GCIH. certification prior to start date.

• Experience: 12 years in enterprise IT systems, emphasizing virtualization and storage.
• Technical Expertise: Expert-level proficiency with VMware (vSphere/vCenter, ESXi, vSAN, NSX) and enterprise storage platforms. Familiarity with hyperconverged infrastructure and scripting (PowerShell, PowerCLI).
• Foundational Knowledge: Strong understanding of network and security principles (firewalls, VLANs, zero trust).
• Soft Skills: Excellent documentation, presentation, and leadership skills; ability to collaborate across IT domains.
