What are the responsibilities and job description for the Trade Compliance Specialist position at TEKsystems?
Pay Range: $50.00 - 65.00
*Description:*
*6 years of increased responsibility in import customs compliance roles (professional services firm(s), Fortune 500 company, etc.)
*Licensed Customs Broker License preferred.
*Advanced tariff classification experience and managing classification programs.
*Knowledge of US Customs programs including Antidumping and Countervailing Duty Orders, and PGAs (e.g. FDA, EPA.)
*Proficiency with MS Office and SAP-GTS.
Description
oConduct classification analysis to arrive at an accurate HTS by using various trade tools such as GRIs, CROSS rulings, WCO explanatory notes, and other classification tools.
oMaintain & monitor previous part classifications in SAP-GTS to ensure consistent and valid tariff numbers.
oMonitor, measure and develop reports with Key Performance Indicators (KPIs.)
oEvaluate new government requirements and partner with regional teams to ensure import compliance.
oPerform global classification and duty analysis on clients products.
oLead global classification audits and root cause any errors.
oManage classification specific projects as assigned.
*Create and maintain process and procedures.
*Create effective and clear communication with stakeholders (Emails, Presentations, etc.)
Education & Experience
*BA/BS degree plus 6 years of equivalent practical work experience. A Masters and/or JD degree is a plus.
