Outpatient Clinician
Location: Madison/Dane County
Position Summary*
As a member of Outpatient Services, you will serve as part of a team with diverse backgrounds and the ability to work with a wide range of people who have mental health and substance use disorders. We have an integrated team of professionals from both the mental health and substance use fields, who are cross-trained in assessing and treating both voluntary and legally involved clients. You will collaborate with your peers and clinical supervisor to provide intervention and counseling services to walk-ins, agency residential programs, and other voluntary community clients. You will provide ongoing assessment, crisis intervention, individual, family, and group therapy, and case management services in this role. You will develop strength-based service plans, monitor treatment progress, document interactions, and maintain electronic clinical records and other reporting data. The Adult Outpatient Team uses a variety of therapeutic techniques to provide a solution-focused, cognitive behavioral, and/or motivational interview approach to bring about client transformations.

Essential Functions
- Embrace the Tellurian Behavioral Health Mission - Provide compassionate, comprehensive care for people who face mental health and addiction challenges.
- Provide person-centered assessments, goal planning, and treatment for mental health and/or substance use issues. Provide screenings, intakes, and assessments of clients utilizing required instruments and formats within appropriate timelines.
- Assess the diagnosis and mental status of clients, evaluate the current level of functioning, and develop and implement a treatment plan to address clients' needs.
- Collaborate continuously with assigned clients to devise safety planning, provide symptom management, identify support systems, reduce, and mitigate risk factors.
- Collaborate with other clinicians, law enforcement, external providers, and psychiatrists to provide services to clients. Maintain close and cooperative relationships with community agencies and other public agencies in carrying out treatment/service plans.
- Complete clinical documentation in compliance with federal, state, county, and organizational policies, and procedures within the electronic health record system.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Qualifications
- Master's degree in psychology, social work, or another behavioral health discipline from an accredited college or university is required.
- Meet the minimum requirements to obtain licensure to practice mental health counseling in the state of Wisconsin, in-training or full license.
- Meet the minimum requirements of applicable federal, state, and organization background checks including the Criminal Justice Information Sector.
- Bilingual English/Spanish and/or Hmong preferred.
