Founded in 1998 and headquartered in Lexington, Massachusetts, Tepha is currently seeking a Shipping / Receiving Clerk. This position requires an individual with the ability to perform multiple tasks within the shipping and receiving function, including shipping and receiving of all materials. This position also requires customer order processing and inventory management for in process and finished goods.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Physically unload and perform visual inspection of inbound/outbound freight
- Receive raw materials
- Assign lot numbers to incoming materials and submit it to QC for incoming inspection
- Perform data entry for all materials in IQMS (ERP system)
- Prepare and affix appropriate documentation to cartons and packages
- Manipulate computer terminal to generate shipping labels, file import documents and distribute copies to appropriate personnel
- Generate commercial invoice for international shipments
- Maintain inventory of supplies and finished goods
- Receive orders from Sales Reps and Doctors for products
- Enter orders in IQMS, generate order confirmation and send it to customers
- Create packing slips and ship orders
- Send shipment notifications and tracking info to customers
- International & domestic shipping
- Package & label finished goods
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- 2-3 years in a shipping, receiving, material handling function, preferably in the medical device industry or something similar
- High school diploma
- Knowledge and familiar with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and ISO 13485:2003 and/or ISO 9001
- Well organized with good recordkeeping skills
- Ability to work well with others and to communicate effectively
- Excellent communication skills
- Basic math skills are required
- Demonstrated ability to follow directions, stay on schedule, adhere to standards, and pay attention to details
- Have general knowledge of working with inventory management systems
- Have demonstrated a solid understanding of Good Manufacturing Procedures, strong documentation skills and good warehouse organization skills
- Able to use basic material handling equipment and be willing to take on additional training and responsibility
- Strong initiative and a demonstrated ability to work independently in an organized manner
- Have sense of urgency and ability to prioritize task based on due dates
