The Program Aide under general supervision performs legal research to assist assigned faculty including:

Qualifications

Required Education

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  
  
  

Required Experience:

• One year of legal research
  
  
  

Preferred Education:

• Master of Law or Juris Doctorate degree
  
  
  

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.
• Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, database, and presentation applications.
• Interpersonal and communication skills.
• Planning and organization skills.
  
  
  

Responsibilities

Document Review

• Completing a literature review of European migration law, inside and outside of the European Union
• Reviewing documents related to U.S. immigration law and educational policy
• Empirical research on U.S. subfederal immigration laws and policies
• Researching federal government funding of policing
  
  
  

Reporting and Documentation

• Prepares reports on activities
