Due a recent departure, our Paint Line team is short-handed and we need help to keep up with our production goals. The Painter position is hourly with benefits that include Blue Cross/Blue Shield medical, plus dental and vision options, paid holidays, earned vacation and a 401k plan with an employer match. The team works 10-hour shifts Monday through Friday with shift start at 5 AM.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Wears safety equipment (paint suit and mask)
• Check travelers for paint codes to set up paint color
• Inspect cylinders for bee bee’s and cleanliness
• Make sure cylinders are prepped correctly with masking
• Starts and observes mix operation to detect malfunctions and adjusts machine controls or control media as required
• Apply paint or primer to correct mil thickness
• Examines paint for finish and other contamination
• Mix paint as needed
• Pushes painted articles to and from drying oven on manual line only
• Clean paint equipment
• Clean area before leaving for the day

Education/Training/Experience:

• Minimum High School/GED, six months to one year related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

Skills and Equipment:

• Demonstrate math proficiency as it relates to job.
• Uses the following equipment: half faced mask, dust mask, full Tyvek suit with air filtration system, Tyvek lab coat, full face mask with cartridge, latex gloves, goggles.
