Job Summary:
The MRI Technologist will be responsible for performing diagnostic procedures using MRI and imaging equipment. The candidate will be expected to perform all MRI procedures and maintain quality control in the MRI area.
Job Responsibilities:
Perform diagnostic procedures using MRI and imaging equipment.
Demonstrate knowledge of all areas of Magnetic Resonance Imaging, positioning, procedure preparation, and technical factors associated with the MRI systems.
Responsible for the proper use of the Radiology Information System (RIS) for scheduling exams, patient tracking, film tracking, and proper completion of exams.
Responsible for all other equipment used in MR, including monitoring equipment, stereotactic biopsy equipment (where applicable), and any other devices/equipment used in MRI.
Demonstrate enthusiasm in performing and accepting work assignments.
Assess a situation, consider alternatives, and choose an appropriate course of action.
Provide care to pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.
Job Requirements:
Graduate of a Radiology School.
Previous experience in an out-patient MRI role desirable.
Must hold ONE of the following certifications within 6 months of hire date:
a. American Registration of Radiologic Technologists, ARRT (MR) certification OR
b. American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist (ARMRIT)
Must hold a current CPR certification or obtain during the orientation period.
Hold a Medical Radiologic Technologist (MRT) Certification from Texas Department of Health (Preferred).
Have at least 1 year of experience in an acute care setting.

Work 4 10-hour shifts with a day off in the week.

Associated with Methodist Hospital.
Compensation:
Salary range from $31-$45/hour based on years of experience.
Weekend Differentials - $6.50.
On Call - $5.00.
Sign-On Bonus of $10K paid out on the 2/3rd check with a 2-year commitment.
Relocation Bonus of $5K.
Salary : $64,480 - $93,600
