SUMMARY
Manage the waiting list for Housing Choice Voucher, RAD-PBV, VASH, MOD, and Project Based Voucher Programs. Provide supervision to entry level staff, including, but not limited to the Housing Clerks, Front Desk Receptionists, and Housing Support Specialists. Complete ownership changes for landlords who have sold their property or changed management companies.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Define, establish, administer and manage the process through which applicants from the general public can apply for and be placed on the Waiting List for THA's public housing communities and assisted housing units in accordance with THA and Housing and Urban Development (HUD) regulation.
Responsible for ensuring waiting lists are accurate and are updated appropriately.
Completes ownership changes and W-9 information as necessary.
Ensure the timely processing of Rent Increases and Request for Tenancy Approvals that HSS staff are required to complete.
Review changes to all applicable Federal (HUD), State and local statutes and regulations. Assure the appropriate THA organization is notified of the changes.
Meet with community agencies to explain the selection process and ensure we are a partner in the social service community.
Prepare weekly and monthly reports to provide information, regarding waiting lists.
Conduct screening and interviews to acquire new staff.
Perform other duties as required, including those of a higher classification for a limited period.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Directly supervises three to seven employees in the Rental Assistance Department. Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university and/or two (2) to four (4) years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Must possess valid Driver’s License.
