Overview
As a Final Inspector at WASI, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the integrity and safety of our products. You will be responsible for conducting thorough inspections and verification of components, assemblies, and systems to ensure they meet the highest quality standards and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
- Perform detailed inspections of components, assemblies, and systems to ensure they conform to engineering specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive inspection records, documenting all inspection results, non-conformities, and any necessary corrective actions.
- Utilize a variety of inspection tools, instruments, and testing equipment to verify the dimensions, tolerances, and functionality of products.
- Conduct visual inspections to identify defects, irregularities, or discrepancies in components and systems.
- Ensure that inspection equipment is properly calibrated and maintain calibration records in accordance with company policies and industry standards.
- Collaborate with the Quality Assurance team to address and resolve any quality issues or discrepancies identified during the inspection process.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment, adhere to safety protocols, and report any safety hazards or concerns.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, suggesting process enhancements and efficiency improvements to enhance product quality.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional vocational or technical education is a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in aerospace inspection or a related field.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
- Knowledge of aerospace materials, manufacturing processes, and quality control methods.
- Ability to use precision measuring tools and testing equipment.
- Strong attention to detail, excellent problem-solving skills, and a commitment to quality.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Certification in inspection methods or quality assurance is a plus.
