Lab Assistant (Component QC Lab - New Orleans)

| POSITION'S PRIMARY PURPOSE | |

Monitor and track monthly QC requirements of Apheresis products and equipment, assist Component QC MLT/MT with Bacterial Detection and splitting products. This position will work Monday - Friday 3-11pm.

| QUALIFICATIONS: | |
| Licenses: Valid Drivers License | |
| Education: High school diploma or equivalent or BS preferred | |
| Experience: 1-3 years of experience in blood banking, preferably in collections and/or component processing | |
| Specific Skills: Must have blood bank knowledge and have the ability to recognize and resolve discrepant results in testing | |
| Knowledge of automated and WB collection procedure, mathematical skills and the ability to use computer for data entry and retrieval | |
| Ability to maintain accurate records and work well under pressure | |
| Exhibit good product management, quality minded and excellent communication and organizational skills | |
