As a member of the Sales Team, the Director of National Sales, Northeast will research, prospect, negotiate and contract group room nights and meeting/event space to meet and exceed occupancy and average rate goals and achieve booking pace goals. A Director of National Sales position has a set annual room revenue goal for a geographic market. They will prospect new accounts, develop referrals, and maintain relationships with existing accounts to ensure a consistent booking pace and have repeat bookings and referrals.

What You Will Be Doing
- Responsible for increasing opportunity to book maximum number of room nights and room revenue in an assigned geographic market.
- Increase hotel’s ability to maximize occupancy and Average Daily Rate.
- Develop relationships with major key accounts, rebook past accounts and prospect for new business.
- Develop relationships with all third-party associates and prospect for new business in an assigned market.
- Conduct site tours and familiarization trips.
- Establish good working relationships with other Resort departments.
- Ensure continuity of flow for clients by conducting file turnover meetings with Conferences for a seamless transition.
- Book businesses with best possible ADR and Banquet F&B.
- Travel for dedicated sales calls is required to develop new business and maintain relationships with existing clients.
- Travel is required to attend industry functions and trade shows to develop new business contacts and sales leads.
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with ALHI and Preferred with a focus on developing new contacts and new accounts.
- Willingness to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Uphold and abide by all Broadmoor policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
What We Are Looking For
- Experience selling group business in the Northeast market.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred; minimum of 4-6 years’ experience in hospitality.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word). Experience with Delphi a plus.
- Highly organized with an attention to detail
- Enthusiastic, friendly, and energetic team member who works well with others.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills
- Occasional heavy lifting (up to 50 lbs.) with a work environment that may be indoors and outdoors at times.
