What are the responsibilities and job description for the Relationship Banker III - Sandwich position at The Cape Cod Five Cents Savings Bank?
In this customer facing role, the* Relationship Banker III* will provide exceptional customer care to the Bank’s customers assisting them with banking transactions, inquiries, problem resolution and account opening, assistance with loan applications at a full-service Cape Cod Five Retail Bank located in Centerville.
- 1. Develops rapport with customers, greeting customers by name, understand account ownership types and authority, being responsive and timely with correspondence and problem resolution, while displaying a caring attitude (GUEST philosophy)
2. Provides excellent customer care to customers relative to daily transactions, addressing inquiries, and problem resolution, in accordance with Bank policies and procedures
3. Performs banking transactions including: processing deposits and loan payments, verifying cash and endorsements, check cashing, money orders and treasurer’s check issuance and savings bond redemption
4. Fulfills all branch closing activities
5. Introduces and advises on the Bank's deposit and consumer loan products and services to appropriately meet customer needs in a proactive manner
6. Introduces and advises on the Bank's products and services to appropriately meet customer needs
7. Proficient in determining customer’s existing and prospective financial needs and identifies referrals to other business lines (Investment Services, TAM, Commercial, Cash Management, etc.)
8. Proficient in determining customer needs and recommending to the customer the products and services that best meet their needs
9. Maintain a working knowledge of product and service offerings including consumer, business, non-profit, retirement, Online Banking, BillPay, debits cards
10. Confidently discuss customer lending opportunities and assists customers in preparing loan applications for home equity products and personal loans
11. Safeguards customer trust by upholding duty of customer confidentiality
12. Must comply with all required regulations, guidelines, and policies
13. Timely completion of all assigned learning activities
14. Actively participate in branch meetings and one-on-one coaching sessions
15. Participation/volunteerism in community groups and events
16. Additional duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION & CERTIFICATIONS: (Minimum education required to perform the duties of this position)
- Bachelor’s Degree OR 60 college credits and pursuing Bachelor’s Degree and five years of financial institution experience
- NMLS registration required
- Registered Para Planner (in progress)
- Notary public
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
- Minimum one year cash handling experience required
- Minimum two years customer service experience
- Prior customer relationship building experience

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: (Physical effort generally associated with positions)
Normal Physical Capabilities:
Incumbents must be able to perform the following activities frequently or continuously throughout the workday as appropriate to the position: travel throughout the Bank’s primary and secondary market areas (which are beyond Cape Cod), bend, carry (one and two hands), collate papers, dial a phone, file records, hear at normal speaking levels, hold items with hands, lift up to 25 lbs., move throughout building, operate office equipment (fax, copier, phone, computer, etc.), computer input for extended periods of time, read English, see well enough to scan documents with detail, sit for up to two hours at a time, stand for short periods of time, speak on the telephone and in person, write with hand, and work at the Bank’s facilities.

WORKING CONDITIONS: (Typical working conditions with this type of work and environmental hazards, if any, that may be encountered in performing the duties of this position.)
Internal - work is normally performed in climate controlled office environment, where exposure to conditions of extreme heat/cold, poor ventilation, fumes and gases is very limited. Noise level is moderate and includes sounds of normal office equipment (computers, telephones, etc). No known environmental hazards are encountered in normal performance of duties. Length of day is unpredictable; long hours may be required to accommodate deadlines or special meetings.
External - Some travel to remote Bank locations will be required; this will include some overnight travel, not to exceed 5%. Environmental conditions are regular office and branch locations of the Bank.
