JOB: Foster Care Social Worker
LOCATION: Philadelphia and Delco

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Master's Degree Social Work or related field
- At least 1 consecutive year of child welfare experience
- Experience working with children and families in social services context preferred
- Valid driver's license with properly registered and insured vehicle
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Maintain a caseload of resource families as assigned by the Program Coordinator/State Director
- Inform resource families about the mission statement, core values, policies and procedures of Children’s Choice
- Schedule and complete quarterly, semi-annual and annual re-evaluations
- Discuss and develop parenting techniques as well as an understanding of how foster children will be incorporated into families
- Assess the family’s suitability as a Children’s Choice resource family and complete written evaluations on each family
- Meet monthly with licensed families, ensuring compliance with state and contract regulations
- Report immediately all cases of suspected child abuse and/or neglect, followed by a written report within 48 hours
- Attend court hearings and service plan sessions
- Identify training goals and ensure resource parents receive appropriate training
