Our early childhood teachers are responsible for coordinating the daily operations of assigned classes. Teachers will plan, present, and evaluate educational and recreational activities for children in a safe environment and work directly with children and parents daily to provide quality customer service.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; Associate OR Bachelor of Arts in Early Childhood Education or related field OR Child Development Associate (CDA) preferred
• Two plus years of previous experience in a licensed facility preferred
• Meets background check eligibility
• Has knowledge of childcare programming, safety and emergency first-aid procedures, program management and customer service principles
• Develops relationships and communicate effectively with children, parents, and faculty members
• Works productively without supervision within established organizational policies and procedures
• Is highly motivated and takes direction well with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Is dependable and adaptable and enjoys working in teams

The Goddard School located in Fredericksburg, VA has been open for five years and has approximately 150 children under our care. As part of a larger franchise system, in operation for over 30 years, we are the premier preschool for children from six weeks to six years old. • School entry is limited to personnel and enrolled children only. Parents drop students off at the door
• Schools are deep cleaned daily
• Personal protective equipment (PPE) is provided
• Health screening of faculty and children in attendance is conducted daily
• Handwashing and sanitation procedures have been adapted to meet applicable CDC recommendations

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $11.00 - $15.00 per hour
