Description
Ithaca Beer Company is seeking to hire a part-time Packaging Operator/Shipping Coordinator to join our team. This position is responsible for running packaging equipment (Keg, Bottle and Can lines) safely and efficiently during a packaging shift while keeping an eye on their team members so that they may offer help where needed. In order to ensure efficient and timely shipments this position also requires safe and skillful use of a forklift, strong organization skills and attention to detail. Successful candidates must also be able to multitask and work with the team in a positive and communicative manner while maintaining a "do anything" attitude.
Responsibilities
• Operate packaging equipment in safe and efficient manner while focusing on quality
• Following SOP’s
• Perform quality control checks on finished product
• Accurately reporting on existing packaging logs and QC paperwork
• Forklift operations
• Maintain equipment (cleaning, light maintenance)
• Inventory control
• Tracking raw materials throughout a packaging run
• Communicate effectively and work well with other departments
• Achieve department goals for safety, quality, efficiency, and cost
• Loading and unloading trucks and coolers with use of forklift and hand cart
• Record keeping and strong communication with logistics coordinator
Requirements:

• Forklift training through Ithaca Beer (If not already OSHA certified)

• Flexible schedule between 7am and 6pm
Physical Job requirement:
Repetitive handling of 20 lb cases and kegs
