About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Systems Engineer to support a next‑generation New Aircraft Design Program. In this role, you will help shape the future of advanced military aviation by leading systems engineering activities from concept through production. You will collaborate across multidisciplinary engineering teams and contribute to the development of innovative aircraft systems, structures, and mission solutions.
This position requires deep technical expertise, strong requirements management skills, and the ability to drive engineering excellence throughout the product lifecycle.
Responsibilities
- Lead system‑level design, development, analysis, and integration activities for new aircraft platforms.
- Support conceptualization and architecture of advanced aerospace systems, components, and mission payloads.
- Perform requirements decomposition, derivation, allocation, and traceability across the program lifecycle.
- Define system interfaces, technical metrics, and verification/validation (V&V) strategies.
- Partner with teams across aerodynamics, propulsion, avionics, materials, and manufacturing to ensure seamless integration.
- Conduct trade studies, technical risk assessments, and performance analyses to guide design decisions.
- Support development and certification of aerospace systems, including model‑based and traditional engineering methods.
- Engage in testing, documentation, and continuous improvement of complex systems and processes.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Systems Engineering or related discipline.
- 10 years of relevant engineering experience.
- Demonstrated knowledge of engineering principles, systems design, and multidisciplinary development.
- Experience with requirements management, functional analysis, systems integration, risk management, and V&V.
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced proficiency with tools such as DOORS, Rhapsody, NoMagic, MATLAB, or similar.
- Experience applying Model‑Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) methodologies.
- Familiarity with INCOSE standards or related certifications.
- Aerospace or defense industry background.
- Experience leading baseline definition, technical trade studies, and system maturation in complex development programs.
- Strong understanding of Technical Performance Measurements (TPMs).
