Seeking An Advanced Personal Injury Litigation Paralegal
Qualifications
· Bachelor's Degree;
· Within the past five (5) years, a minimum of three (2) years litigation paralegal experience in the field of personal injury litigation;
· Past experience working for a midsized to large law firm is ideal;
· Past experience must include legal writing—namely, with respect to litigation filings;
· Proficiency in calendar maintenance, i.e., tracking a large volume of contemporaneous deadlines;
· The ability and willingness to work both independently and as part of a cross-functional team with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment and remain flexible and adaptable to rapidly changing priorities white remaining focused;
· Strong interpersonal and communication skills and able to provide excellent client service;
· Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and E-Filing;
· Must be detail-oriented, capable to multi-tasking, and possess the knowledge and skills necessary to prioritize the workload independently;
· Must possess a team-oriented mindset;
· Must be able to reliably commute to [Insert Office City ZIP] or plan to relocate before starting work.
Responsibilities
Duties for the position will include the following:
• Summarizing cases and briefing the attorneys
• Review case documents
• Conducting research, investigating facts, and developing legal arguments
• Drafting legal documents such as contracts, depositions, and pleadings
• Preparing and filing documents with courts
• Enter key dates in the docketing system
• Organizing and archiving the documents related to completed and ongoing cases
• Keeping track of changes in legal framework and providing timely updates on these changes
• Recording billable and non-billable time
