Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct client interviews and gather necessary information for case development.
- Prepare and draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery requests.
- Assist attorneys with case management, including organizing and maintaining case files.
- Coordinate and schedule medical examinations, depositions, and court appearances.
- Perform legal research and gather relevant case law and statutes.
- Communicate with clients, medical providers, and insurance companies to obtain necessary information and documentation.
- Summarize medical records, depositions, and other documents.
- Assist in trial preparation, including preparing trial exhibits and witness lists.
- File documents with the court and serve legal documents to involved parties.
- Maintain confidentiality and uphold the ethical standards of the legal profession.
- Perform administrative tasks as needed to support the legal team.
- Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in paralegal studies or a related field; paralegal certification preferred.
- Proven experience as a personal injury paralegal in a law firm setting.
- Strong knowledge of personal injury law, legal terminology, and procedures.
- Proficiency in legal research and legal database software.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
