It offers a sanctuary for women who are pregnant and/or caring for small children, fostering an environment where dignity is restored, and healing can take place. Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role located in Lowell, MA. The Program Director will oversee operations, ensure the delivery of high-quality services, and lead a dedicated team in providing support to residents. Responsibilities include program development, staff management, coordination of services, compliance with regulations, maintaining a safe and positive environment, and building relationships with community partners and stakeholders. The role requires a strong commitment to the mission and vision of The O'Connell House.

Qualifications

• Program management and leadership experience, including strategic planning and program development
• Strong skills in team management, staff supervision, and fostering professional growth
• Experience with compliance, regulatory oversight, and maintaining operational standards
• Excellent communication skills, including relationship building with community organizations and stakeholders
• Crisis management skills and ability to provide guidance in challenging situations
• Proficiency in maintaining organized records and producing financial reports

• Previous experience in social services, trauma-informed care, or related fields
• Master's degree preferred, in Social Work, Public Administration, Psychology/Mental Health or a related field is preferred
