The Office of Financial Services is looking to hire a full-time strategic planning consultant to support the office's role across broad range of university strategic projects. The position will be within the University Treasurer's Office and will work collaboratively with other University departments on the identification, assessment, and implementation of strategic projects across the enterprise and its affiliates. This position will focus on financial evaluation and analysis along with the identification of non-financial considerations and risk factors.
Reporting to the Assistant Treasurer of Capital Finance, this position will have exposure to a wide range of projects and will be responsible for performing strategic and financial analysis, identifying and evaluating key financial and non-financial considerations, making recommendations, and developing decision-making and communication related documentation for the President, Provost, EVP for Research, Innovation and Knowledge SVP for Business & Finance and CFO, SVP for Administration & Planning, and other senior leadership.
The position's primary responsibility will involve Strategic Planning and Financial Analysis of major projects and project proposals across the University and its affiliates in the areas of student housing, real-estate acquisition and development, public-private partnerships (P3s), and economic development among others. The position will also provide support to the Debt and Internal Bank operations within the Office of Financial Services.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in business or public administration, finance, accounting, or a related field. Six (6) years of experience in strategic planning and financial analysis. Exercise skill in analytical problem solving, project management, communications and leadership in addition to understanding organizational structures, business operations and procedures and data analysis. Ability to handle multiple assignments and work independently with minimal supervision. Strong written and oral communication skills. Advanced level experience in Excel, including data set analysis, use of functions, and charts/graphs. Ability to handle complex and confidential information with discretion. The highest degree of personal integrity.
Desired Qualifications
Master's degree in business or public administration with a concentration or specialization in finance is preferred. Related field with applicable job experience also considered. Related professional certifications and advanced skills in presentation software such as PowerPoint would be beneficial.
This role will be an integral part of the Treasurer's Office and gain broad exposure to university strategic projects and financial operations including project financing, public private partnerships, strategic planning, and operational planning. The position is focused on supporting various university projects via financial analyses and feasibility planning, but will also aid capital and internal bank operations for the university.
The targeted hiring range for this position is $107,000-$143,000.
