Recreation Leader - Full Time

Essential Functions:
- Assist in evaluating resident’s recreational needs and developing activity programs upon resident initial admission relating to past and current interests.
- Promotes a physically and sensory stimulating environment to increase the functioning levels of residents.
- Leads, prepares and participates in individual and group activities as scheduled daily.
- Assist with decorating the facility and preparing for special events and seasonal parties.
- Participates in recreational programs for residents confined to their rooms and participation records for 1:1 visits are mandatory.
- Maintains records of activities and attendance including timely completion of resident’s daily participation in programs, MDS’s, Care Plans & Progress Notes.
- Perform other tasks as assigned.
Requirements/Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- BS in Recreation preferred.
