Social Worker Job Description
Looking for a full-time Social Worker with the ability to evaluate and treat independently without direct supervision. Must possess the desire to assist residents improve and should have a passion for working with geriatric population.
Social Worker duties include:
- Complete a social history and psychosocial assessment for each resident that identifies social, emotional, and psychological needs.
- Assists the Social Services Director in providing services to meet the social and emotional needs of the residents/patients.
- Develops a rapport with the residents/patients and presents their concerns to facility management. Charts as assigned.
- Ability to relate positively, effectively and appropriately with residents, families, visitors, and other facility staff.
- Ensure and provide support and education to residents/family members/significant others to assist in the understanding of placement and facility issues.
Social Worker Requirements/Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree required. Master's Degree in Social Work or Human Services preferred.
- Experience in LTC through employment or internship required
- LMSW preferred
Salary: up to $64,000
Hours: Full Time, Monday-Friday Schedule
