As an Electrical Engineer, you will collaborate with project teams, clients, and contractors to manage and execute commercial facility designs, including lighting, power distribution, fire alarms, and IT systems. You’ll utilize software tools like AGI, Bluebeam Studio, REVIT, Excel, and SpecLink, ensuring quality assurance throughout all project phases. With expertise in power distribution, including commercial, municipal and light industrial as well as municipal water and wastewater treatment facilities, you’ll drive innovative solutions and ensure compliance with industry codes. Your ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and contribute to team success will be key to delivering high-quality results.
Your Responsibilities
- Collaborate with project team members, clients, contractors, and technical experts on project-related matters.
- Utilize tools such as Bluebeam Studio, Excel, SpecLInk, and MS Word for effective communication and documentation.
- Ensure quality assurance throughout all phases of the project.
- Manage projects from preliminary engineering to final design, construction documents, and field inspection.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- Florida Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred.
- A minimum of 10 -15 years of relevant experience in commercial facility design, including lighting, power distribution, fire alarm systems, and IT infrastructure.
- Familiarity with current codes and LEED principles.
- Strong project management and business development experience is a plus.
- Proficiency with AGI photometric software, EasyPower or SKM power system software, or similar tools is preferred.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word, Excel, and Outlook for effective calendaring and communication.
- Highly organized, adaptable, and self-sufficient, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to travel for local and regional projects as needed.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, enabling professional interactions with a diverse range of personalities.
- Creative problem-solver, capable of researching various concepts and developing innovative solutions to complex challenges.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team, with minimal supervision.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in power distribution and process controls within water and wastewater treatment plants and pump stations is highly desirable.
- Experience with AutoCAD and Revit is advantageous.
