What are the responsibilities and job description for the Electrical Project Engineer position at The Planet Group?
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Project Engineer to join our team. This role involves preparing and reviewing plans, technical specifications, contract documents, and cost estimates for a wide range of projects, including electrical systems, controls, instrumentation, power engineering, substations, and transmission and distribution lines. Experience with water treatment facilities is a strong plus.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop project scopes, cost estimates, and service fees.
- Coordinate with clients to ensure contractual obligations and project goals are met.
- Lead design efforts and manage ongoing project development.
- Collaborate with local, state, and federal agencies, as well as other external stakeholders.
- Supervise and support technical staff assigned to the project.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of four years of relevant experience.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in North Carolina, or the ability to obtain one within six months.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD required; REVIT experience preferred.
- Valid driver’s license.
