Job Summary:
We are seeking a GIS Tech 1 to support spatial data systems and mapping operations within a land and real estate services environment. This role involves GIS software use, data maintenance, cartographic production, and enterprise data support for land acquisition and project planning needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform GIS data manipulation and visualization
- Combine datasets from multiple sources to create cartographic products
- Produce exhibit maps for use with land acquisition documentation
- Generate project update maps and feasibility study visuals
- Support enterprise-level spatial data management
- Ensure data accuracy through QA/QC and metadata practices
Technical Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of GIS-related experience, or recent graduate with GIS-focused coursework
- Proficiency in ESRI ArcMap and ArcGIS Pro, including editing and geoprocessing
- Solid cartographic design skills
- Experience with enterprise GIS databases
- Familiarity with ArcGIS Enterprise/Arc Server/Portal a plus
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organization and workload management
