Job Title: Marketing Consultant – Developer Platform
Location: Remote (U.S. Based Only)
Pay: ~$75/hour (W2 only)
Duration: Contract – 7 months (08/20/2025 – 03/31/2026)
Introduction
The Planet Group is seeking a Marketing Consultant to support go-to-market (GTM) efforts for a developer platform in the fintech/crypto space. This is a strategic, high-impact contract role for a marketing professional who excels in building and executing B2B campaigns targeted toward developers. If you’re passionate about emerging technology, developer ecosystems, and measurable growth—this role offers a unique opportunity to shape awareness and adoption of cutting-edge infrastructure tools.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Proven experience executing fast-paced B2B marketing campaigns in the developer, fintech, or Web3 space
- Strong understanding of technical/developer audiences and how to drive engagement
- Ability to independently plan and execute paid media, content strategy, and event marketing initiatives
- Demonstrated experience managing performance marketing budgets from $50K to $500K
- Prior work marketing APIs, SDKs, or developer-focused products
- Familiarity with crypto infrastructure (onramps, embedded wallets, developer tools)
- Excellent cross-functional collaboration and communication skills
- Must be able to work in the U.S. without sponsorship (W2 only – no H1B/C2C candidates)
- Available to work full-time (40 hours/week) remotely
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with grassroots developer engagement: hackathons, meetups, AMAs
- Familiarity with platforms like X/Twitter, LinkedIn, Reddit, and SEM tools
- Connections within Web3 communities or past involvement in developer relations events
- High agility in executing integrated campaigns that include performance, content, and event layers
- Strategic and data-driven thinker with a bias for rapid execution and iteration
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Lead GTM campaign execution for two developer-facing fintech tools
- Manage paid social campaigns (LinkedIn, Reddit, X/Twitter) with focused developer messaging
- Launch SEM and content marketing initiatives to educate and convert developer audiences
- Execute integrated campaigns that blend paid media, content, community, and event marketing
- Track performance and KPIs, reallocating budget to maximize ROI
- Partner cross-functionally with Product, DevRel, and Growth to align messaging and channel strategy
- Drive developer signups, usage, and transaction volume across tools and APIs
- Operate independently with urgency and ownership—this is a doer role, not advisory
