The Portland Regency Hotel & Spa is looking for Server to join our team! A beautiful Historic Hotel of America located in the heart of Portland's Old Port District.
Summary: To professionally greet Armory guests and to sell, prepare and serve cocktails and light fare in an efficient, friendly and professional manner.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following, but other duties may be assigned.
- Responsible for reporting to all scheduled shifts on time and in full uniform.
- Responsible for punching into the correct department no more than 5 min. before your shift begins and punching out directly after your shift ends.
- To act in a professional manner at all times.
- Responsible for taking guests orders, placing the orders in the kitchen, monitoring time frame of orders and taking care of guests needs.
- Responsible for completing all assigned side work in a teamwork-oriented manner.
- Responsible for restocking all items used during a shift.
- To always assist and communicate with bartenders.
- Responsible for cleanliness of outlet during shift.
- Responsible for closing out checks properly.
- Responsible for running food / trays to and from the kitchen.
- Responsible for putting out salad dressings at the beginning of the shift, on ice with ladles. Also, to recharge or break down as needed.
- Responsible for attending all meetings scheduled by your manager.
- To have knowledge of all current and expired gift certificates and packages.
- When interacting with dissatisfied guests, politely apologize and offer to seek the assistance of a manager when necessary.
- To know and obey all Maine State Liquor laws regarding the sale, service and consumption of alcohol.
- To assist in the training of new employees.
- To become proficient with the computer system.
- To practice safe kitchen procedures when serving food.
