What are the responsibilities and job description for the Front Office Manager position at The Provincetown Inn?

The Front Office Manager is an essential member of the leadership team dedicated to providing exceptional quality and service to our guests. Responsibilities will include,but are not limited to the following:

  • Overseeing Manager on Duty aspects of the Front Office operation.
  • Interviews, trains, and schedules the staff. Conducts Performance Evaluations and disciplines staff when needed
  • Coordinates arrivals, departures, and billing requirements for all guests. Blocks rooms for arrivals and ensures any discrepancies are resolved. Reviews daily arrivals to ensure proper handling of Special Attention Guests, Return Guests, and Groups
  • Train and coach daily for the Signature program to ensure all guidelines are practiced daily with every shift.
  • Resolves customer complaints from all areas of the hotel, handling all guest interactions with the highest level of hospitality and professionalism, accommodating special requests whenever possible; assists customers in all inquiries in connection with hotel services and hours of operation.
  • Checks guests in and out in an efficient and friendly manner, using guest name whenever possible. Assures that guest is assigned the type of room requested and the correct rate is charged. Arranges for luggage to be delivered to the guest room. Issues correct keys to the guest. Check out guests at the end of the stay. Ascertains guest satisfaction, collects keys, posts late charges, and presents bills to guests. Settles bills accurately through credit card or cash transactions.
  • Works harmoniously and professionally with co-workers and supervisors.
  • Innovating and discovering new techniques for improving efficiency with the Front Office and heightening the Guest Experience.
  • Scheduling employees, and maintaining track of vacation requests.
  • Strategic planning, execution, and motivation within the Front Office to ensure guests are receiving the best Guest Experience when inquiring about upgrades.

* Local subsidized housing is available for this position.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $21.78 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
