Position Summary:
The Purple Chandelier is seeking a warm, detail-oriented, and professional Front Desk Associate to be the first and last impression of our store. As the face of our brand, you will greet guests, manage phone and in-store transactions, and support the sales team in delivering a world-class customer experience. You’ll ensure the front desk runs smoothly, the store stays beautiful, and each client interaction reflects our commitment to affordable luxury, and sustainable quality. This is a high-impact role that requires a welcoming spirit, strong follow-through, and a keen eye for detail.

Key Objectives:
- Provide exceptional hospitality to every client and guest upon arrival.
- Maintain the appearance, order, and operations of the front desk area
- Manage incoming calls, voicemails, payments, and customer inquiries with grace and efficiency.
- Support sales associates and liaise between departments to ensure smooth operations and client satisfaction.
- Assist with daily cash handling, shift handovers, and end-of-day reconciliation.
- Oversee logistics and scheduling incoming inventory and outgoing deliveries.
Core Responsibilities:
Reception & Communication
- Greet all visitors with warmth and professionalism
- Log guest arrivals and ensure sales staff are notified
- Answer phones promptly, check voicemails, and respond or delegate messages
- Assist walk-in clients, and act as a sales backup when needed
- Daily Operations & Administrative Support
- Open and balance cash register; reconcile drawer at close
- Process transactions, enter invoices in real time, manage receipts
- Replenish and maintain inventory of master forms
- Track layaway and hold tags; follow up on expirations and deliveries
- Conduct warm calls to past clients and encourage reviews & engagement
Cleanliness & Presentation
- Sanitize and organize front desk, coffee station, and kitchen
- Walk showroom floor daily to support appearance and guest needs
Cross-Departmental Support
- Assist with inventory reclaim research and intake support
- Coordinate deliveries with warehouse and sales
- Participate in projects assigned by leadership or department heads
Required Competencies:
- A natural greeter with a friendly voice and service-first mindset
- Ability to multitask gracefully under pressure
- Experience in a fast-paced retail or luxury environment preferred
- Computer savvy and comfortable with phones, POS systems, Microsoft Office and Google Docs
- Detail-oriented, accountable, and reliable
- Bi-lingual (Spanish/English) a plus
Education & Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Prior customer service experience required
- Experience in luxury retail, hospitality, or consignment settings preferred
Compensation:
- Base Salary: $16/hr depending on experience and performance
- Incentive Program: Up to 20% bonus based on goals set specifically for each position.
