Job Title: Editorial Intern
Location: Hybrid (at least one day in-office per week in Chapel Hill, NC)

Your Role: As the Editorial Intern, you will assist the editorial teams at THE rAVe Agency with a number of different responsibilities related to the content and function of our publications, rAVePUBS.com and LAVNCHCODE.com. When assigned, you will be responsible for researching and creating original content relevant to the audiovisual technology industry for publication and use in the editorial properties of rAVe [PUBS] and LAVNCH [CODE], such as product stories, columns, podcasts, videocasts, social media and more. The ideal candidate is eager to work in an editorial role. Our company commits to helping you grow professionally and expects a commitment from you to provide a reasonable amount of reliability and responsibility.
What You’ll Do:
- Edit and/or proofread content
- Post daily news stories on rAVePubs.com (wordpress-based website)
- Post press releases from manufacturers
- Create original stories, as assigned by rAVe [PUBS] and LAVNCH [CODE]
- Pitch ideas for original articles
- Title product videos from trade shows and other industry events
- Other duties as assigned
What We’re Looking For:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience as a copywriter, reporter, news assistant or relevant equivalent for any type of publication or equivalent coursework
- Strong research and newsgathering skills for the purpose of creating original content related to the AV industry
- Competency in AP Style, grammar and spelling
- Good attention to detail and proofreading skills
- Willingness to learn the technical aspects of audiovisual technology and the structure of the B2B audiovisual industry
