The Salvation Army, an internationally recognized non-profit, faith-based organization, has a job opening for a part-time Custodian/Janitor for the Kroc Center and the Center of Hope located in Augusta, GA
Job Summary
Cleans and maintains the buildings and grounds to ensure the neatness and cleanliness of the same on a daily basis.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Ability to perform general maintenance and cleaning activities for buildings and grounds; ability to follow instructions and work independently; ability to read and communicate the English language.
Education and Experience:
No formal education or experience required; six (6) months experience performing general housekeeping duties; or any equivalent combination of training and experience, which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Licenses and Certifications:
None
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
Ability to meet attendance requirements; ability to exert the physical energy required to performing housekeeping and minor maintenance work; ability to perform continuous walking, stooping, standing, and climbing. Work is performed in a normal office type environment with some exposure to outdoor temperatures, dirt and dust, and/or disagreeable sights and odors.
