Location: The Salvation Army Corps- 322 Gayle Ave. Aiken, SC
Hours: Monday - Thursday 9:00 am- 4:00 pm Friday 10am - 1:00pm
Pay Rate: $10.05/hr. Pay Type: Part-Time (29hrs)
About this opportunity: Custodian
Provides a variety of cleaning duties and maintains the building to ensure the upkeep, neatness, and cleanliness of the same daily.
Key responsibilities:
Duties are performed standing and require squatting, climbing, bending, and walking. Any of the preceding duties may be relieved by brief or occasional periods of sitting. Extensive amount of physical effort is required associated with walking, standing, lifting, and carrying moderately heavy objects (up to 50 lbs.) frequently. Work is performed in both indoor and outdoor environments with exposure to dirt, dust, disagreeable sights and/or odors, and various temperatures.

- Cleans and sanitizes bathrooms; cleans sinks and toilets, polishes mirror, replenishes supplies, etc.
- Monitors and repairs/replace light bulbs, fluorescent tubes, spotlights, exit lights, and other lighting malfunctions. Performs other duties as assigned.
- Assembles and moves office furniture including chairs, desks, tables, bulletin boards, etc.
- High school diploma or G.E.D.
- Any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
