Position Summary
Responsible for delivery of excellent customer service while receiving and assisting with donated goods, keeping accurate counts of donations, cleaning, pricing, and sorting goods; while maintaining a clean and safe work area.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Ability to sort items in accordance with established categories. Ability to determine the condition of items in accordance with established standards. Ability to follow instructions and work independently. Ability to meet attendance requirements. Ability to communicate the English language.
Education and Experience
High School Diploma or G.E.D.
Licenses and Certifications
None.
Physical Requirements
Work requires the ability to lift and carry and/or push/pull heavy (over 50lbs.) materials, supplies and equipment frequently. Heavy mobility duties are usually performed by combinations of standing, walking, climbing ladders or steps, bending, reaching or transporting merchandise on frequent change basis relieved by fewer periods of sitting or operating a vehicle.
Working Conditions
Work is performed in a stock room, warehouse or store environment where there are discomforts associated with changes in weather. There are occasional discomforts associated with noise, crowds, dust, lint, chemical odors and the like.
