What are the responsibilities and job description for the Scale Operator position at The Scoular Company?
The Scale Operator’s major responsibility is to receive, weigh and test grain delivered to the facility while providing superior customer service to the Producers/Drivers.
- Work scales for unloads, loadouts and containers as needed. Weigh all trucks coming into and leaving the facility and directing trucks to the proper location for loading and unloading. Enter all customer and commodity information into tracking system. Communicate with the production crew to ensure timely unloading of trucks.
- Probe all inbound trucks to collect commodity sample. Properly grade each grain sample and enter correctly into the scale interface system.
- Housekeeping duties to keep area within the office area and scale room clean and presentable.
- Greet customers and visitors (both in person and via telephone) in a professional and courteous manner and direct them to the appropriate individual if necessary.
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- High School diploma or GED.
