We are looking for an Environmental Services Worker to join the Blue Ridge Medical Center team in Blue Ridge, Georgia.

The Environmental Services Worker plays a crucial part in maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary environment within the hospital. This role is essential for infection control and creating a welcoming atmosphere for patients, visitors, and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform cleaning and disinfecting tasks in patient rooms, restrooms, waiting areas, and other hospital facilities.
• Use appropriate cleaning agents and equipment safely and effectively.
• Follow established protocols for infection prevention and control.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies and procedures regarding cleanliness and safety.
• Dispose of waste and hazardous materials according to regulations.
• Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and notify supervisors of shortages.
• Assist in the setup and breakdown of areas for special events or hospital functions.
• Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the supervisor.
• Participate in ongoing training and adhere to all safety guidelines.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous experience in a healthcare or cleaning environment is a plus.
• Knowledge of cleaning techniques and infection control practices.
• Ability to operate cleaning equipment and machinery.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
• Physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks, including lifting and bending.
