SUMMARY
The Junior Treasury Management Associate supports the Treasury Management team by assisting small business clients with onboarding, servicing, and education related to TM products and services. This role serves as a liaison between clients and the TM Sales Officer, ensuring a seamless customer experience. The associate will also work closely with the TM Support team to gain hands-on experience with back-end systems, processes, and client support. In addition, the associate will be expected to meet sales targets related to small business Treasury Management products, contributing to the bank’s overall growth strategy.
MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES
1. Client Support & Relationship Management - The Junior Treasury Management Associate serves as a first point of contact for small business clients regarding Treasury Management services. They assist with onboarding, training, and troubleshooting for services such as Business Online Banking, ACH origination, Remote Deposit Capture, and Wire Transfers. Complex client needs or sales opportunities are escalated to the Treasury Management Officer. The associate maintains accurate records of client interactions and follow-ups. Provides prompt, professional, and consistent customer service/support via phone, online, email, virtual and any other required methods through confidential and compliant handling of account information. Handles and resolves customer inquiries and requests daily. Builds and maintains solid relationships with the bank’s customers. Listens intently and uses every opportunity to review the customer profile to ensure they have everything we offer that is applicable to their needs and makes appropriate sales and referrals. Escalates as appropriate for expeditious resolution. Develops and provides educational tools and resources related to Fraud Management to ensure the security of the customers and the bank. Fully utilizes the Bank’s CRM for all customer interactions, back-office processes and required reporting. Supports the bank by committing to and reinforcing SNBT’s premier culture, core values, and team relationships. Commitment to personal, bank wide, and departmental relationships and goals. Actively participates in applicable community affairs and events and the Bank’s business development activities to increase Bank’s visibility and to enhance new business opportunities.
2. Sales Support & Referrals - Identify opportunities for additional Treasury Management products and refer leads to the TM Sales Officer. Support the preparation of sales materials and product demonstrations. Participate in joint calls or meetings. Works in full compliance with regulations, procedures, and processes to ensure the bank’s compliance and efficiency in the handling of Treasury Management responsibilities. Provides proper documents, completes electronic service set ups, and assists customers through service and account issues. Back office set up and assist customers, perform customer ACH and Wire risking, revising limits, trouble shooting and all other aspects of all related programs. Maintains strong knowledge of all the bank’s eServices and provides professional support to internal and external customers. Provides support to bank deposit service programs/initiatives and/or products to stimulate new growth and enhance customer relationships.
3. Operational Learning & Back-End Support - Rotate through Treasury Management Support functions to gain a deep understanding of internal systems, processes, and compliance requirements. Assist with reviewing and processing product applications and contracts. Monitor client usage and identify opportunities for product optimization or additional services.
4. Internal Customer Support - Collaborates with internal departments by responding promptly and professionally to requests for assistance related to payment operations. Supports internal teams by completing requested tasks accurately and efficiently, ensuring smooth execution of interdepartmental workflows. Maintains a service-oriented approach to internal communication and task fulfilment.
5. Career Path & Development - This role is designed as a foundational position for individuals interested in pursuing a career in Treasury Management sales. The Junior TM Associate will gain hands-on experience with small business clients, internal systems, and support processes. Over time, and with demonstrated proficiency, the associate will be mentored by the Treasury Management Officer and gradually take on more sales responsibilities, with the goal of transitioning into a full Treasury Management Sales Officer role.
6. Other Duties - Participate in training and development opportunities. Support departmental projects and initiatives as assigned. Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Associate degree or 3 years experience preferred not required. Sound knowledge of electronic communication concepts. Strong interpersonal, problem solving and analytical skills. Good written and oral communication skills.
