This role is ideal for someone who enjoys fast-paced service and connecting with guests. The Stilt House experience revolves around warm hospitality, great food, and a standout beer and wine list, so you’ll play a key part in guiding guests through what makes the place special. You’ll manage your section, stay sharp during busy stretches, and help deliver the kind of service that brings people back
What You’ll Do
- Welcome guests and guide them through the menu, highlighting shareables, seasonal items, craft beer selections, and wine pairings.
- Take orders accurately and enter them into the POS system in a timely manner.
- Deliver food and drinks with attention to timing, presentation, and guest satisfaction.
- Maintain table sections: refills, clearing plates, pre-bussing, and resetting for the next guests.
- Communicate with the kitchen and bar to keep service running smoothly during busy shifts.
- Handle payments, provide receipts, and thank guests before they leave.
- Keep your section and work areas clean, stocked, and guest-ready at all times.
What We’re Looking For
- Prior serving experience preferred, especially in casual-upscale restaurants or gastropubs.
- Strong communication and multitasking skills.
- Friendly, upbeat approach with genuine hospitality.
- Comfortable recommending food, beer, and wine options.
- Reliable, team-minded, and able to work evenings and weekends.
