The Physics Department in the School of Natural Science and Mathematics at The University of Texas at Dallas (UTD) is seeking to fill a postdoctoral researcher position affiliated with the UTD's W. B. Hanson Center for Space Sciences. The candidate needs to hold a Ph.D. in space physics or a closely related field. The successful candidate will have the flexibility to conduct research on a wide variety of topics related to the physics of the solar wind, collisionless shock waves and the Earth's magnetosphere. The incumbent will analyze particle and wave measurements from MMS, Parker Solar Probe, Van Allen Probes, THEMIS and other spacecraft to understand the underlying plasma physics. A demonstrated experience with spacecraft data analysis or space plasma theory are highly desired.
