Job Summary
This position will provide field oversite for the Support Services I. Participate, and coordinate the activities of the moves, campus events and provide custodial assistance for the UT Tyler campus. The position engages in active communication with faculty, staff, and the campus community. This position will also provide custodial and mail services support.
Major Responsibilities/Duties/Critical Tasks
- Oversees the daily operations of the support services staff.
- Complete set-ups/teardowns and support internal/external campus events.
- Picks up recycling and trash in assigned locations.
- Respond to custodial related building emergencies.
- Constant communication with campus customers to establish goals for each campus event.
- Identifies, sorts, delivers, and picks up mail on campus.
- Assist with processing all classes of mail for distribution.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Education/Experience
- High School diploma or GED.
- Two (2) years of experience in moving, custodial, and events support.
Preferred Education/Experience
- Three (3) years of custodial/events experience in an educational setting.
- One (1) year of supervisory experience.
- One (1) year of experience in shipping and receiving and mail services.
Accompanying Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Competencies
- Ability to communicate clearly verbally and in written form.
- Proficiency using computers and software packages.
- Competency with electronic databases.
- Knowledge of safety precautions related to moving heavy items.
- Ability to use moving equipment of all types.

The retirement plan for this position is Teacher Retirement System of Texas (TRS), subject to the position being at least 20 hours per week and at least 135 days in length.
