The UPS Store Associate delivers world-class customer service to all retail customers by receiving and processing packages for courier shipment, fax machines operating copiers, laminating machines, binding equipment and point-of-sale devices. The Associate expertly advises our valued customers by providing accurate information on The UPS Store array of products, services, and best-value options and exhibits confidence by knowing best practices related to the industry.

The ideal candidate must have one year The UPS Store retail sales experience, strong computer and internet skills, a high school diploma, a friendly and genuinely helpful demeanor, and a professional appearance. He or she must be a fast learner who tries to learn all aspects of the business in the shortest possible time.

The UPS Store in Gainesville is looking to hire an excellent sales associate to join our great work environment. This role can either be part-time or full-time and has the ability to evolve into a managerial position, if desired. We are looking for an energetic person that comes from a customer-centric, business-oriented background, and has a passion for sales. Job Roles include:

- Providing EXCELLENT customer service This is our store's #1 priority!

- Packaging and shipping for customers

- Ringing up customers

- Binding/laminating

- Store cleanup and taking out trash daily

- Other similar tasks as needed

- You will be required to become a notary (all fees paid for by The UPS Store)

- Paid, in-depth training will be provided

Requirements:

- Must always be on time!

- Detail-oriented

- Customer service oriented

- Have sales experience

- Can work well with others

- Can work well under pressure

- Able to up-sell and cross-sell

- Communicate effectively and clearly with customers

-Ability to type efficiently and accurately

- Computer literate with MS Word, Excel, Acrobat and frequently used programs/services

- Ability to lift 25-50 lbs.

- Trustworthy and reliable

Recommended:

- Previous The UPS Store experience

- Previous retail experience

-Shipping & packaging experience is a plus but not required (will train)

- A background in either business/sales/marketing
